The demo is provided for evaluation purposes; nothing you enter into it is recorded or transmitted.

The interactive demo on the homepage is the trial. It is the actual product logic — same clinical findings, same auto-scored screeners, same contradiction guard, same note generation — so you can fully evaluate how Progress Note Studio works before you pay. We encourage you to try the demo thoroughly and be sure it fits your workflow before purchasing.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe or PayPal — we never see your card details. Payhip issues your receipt and delivers your license key and download. Questions about a specific charge or receipt can be sent to support@progressnotestudio.com and we'll help sort it out.
Progress Note Studio is licensed, not sold. Purchasing a license grants you a personal, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right for one individual user to install and run the app on up to two devices you personally own or control, for your own professional use.
Progress Note Studio is intended for licensed mental health professionals and for pre-licensure clinicians and trainees working under supervision, for professional documentation use.

The built-in standardized screeners produce screening scores and commonly published interpretive ranges only — a score is not a diagnosis, and no output of the app constitutes a clinical finding.
Every note, score, and sentence the app generates is a draft. You are solely responsible for reviewing each output for accuracy and appropriateness before any use, for deciding whether and how to use it, and for the content, accuracy, and compliance of every clinical record you create, including compliance with HIPAA and your jurisdiction's documentation standards. The app does not provide medical, clinical, or legal advice, is not a medical device, and is not a substitute for your professional judgment.
Where we describe output as "audit-ready" or "complete," we are describing the structure and format of the drafts the app produces — not representing that any particular note will satisfy any payer, regulator, licensing board, or legal requirement. That depends on your review and your jurisdiction's standards.
The software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from or relating to the software or this website, and our total liability in any case shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license. Any claim must be brought within one year after it accrues. This mirrors the limitation of liability in the End User License Agreement (LICENSE.txt) that ships with the app.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising out of your clinical services, the clinical records you create or submit (whether or not drafted with the app), or your handling of client information, including any HIPAA or privacy-law breach on your side. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@progressnotestudio.com and allow 30 days to work it out informally. Except for small-claims matters, disputes must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and — to the extent permitted by law — only on an individual basis: both sides waive jury trial and any right to participate in a class or representative action.
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, when features, pricing, or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version, and material changes will be posted here before or when they take effect. Your continued use of the site or a new purchase after a change constitutes acceptance; changes do not retroactively alter the license terms that shipped with a copy you already bought.
