The short version

Progress Note Studio is built to be private by design. The desktop app runs entirely offline and doesn't collect anything about you or your clients. This website itself currently collects nothing beyond standard hosting logs. This page explains exactly what does and doesn't happen, and what may change as the site grows.

What the website collects

As of the effective date above, progressnotestudio.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The interactive demo on the homepage runs entirely in your browser — nothing you click in the demo is transmitted, logged, or recorded anywhere.

That said, a small amount of data passes through the site by virtue of how the web works, or through your own choice to contact us:

• Hosting and CDN logs. This site is served through Cloudflare. Like virtually all web hosts, Cloudflare's infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data for every request — things like IP address, browser type, and timestamp — for security and reliability purposes. We don't separately access or analyze this data for marketing purposes.
• Checkout data. When you buy Progress Note Studio, you're taken to Lemon Squeezy's checkout, hosted on lemonsqueezy.com. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for all purchases: they collect and process your payment details, issue your receipt, and deliver your license key. We never see or store your card information — that relationship is governed by Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.
• Support email. If you email support@progressnotestudio.com, we receive whatever you send — typically your email address and the contents of your message — so we can reply. We keep that correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your question and for basic business recordkeeping.

What the app collects

Nothing. The Progress Note Studio desktop application makes zero network connections and stores nothing automatically — this has been verified in the app's code, not just asserted as policy. Everything you click, type, or generate inside the app stays on your own computer unless you personally choose to export or copy it somewhere else. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, no update-check, and no analytics of any kind built into the software.

Progress Note Studio is not an EHR (electronic health record) and is not a substitute for one. You decide what, if anything, gets entered into your actual records system.

No sale of data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data — yours or your clients' — to anyone, for any purpose. There is nothing for us to sell: the app collects nothing, and the site collects only what's described above.

Third-party services we rely on

• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security for this website.
• Lemon Squeezy — merchant of record for all purchases; handles payment processing, receipts, and license key delivery under their own privacy policy.

Your choices

Because the app itself collects nothing, there's nothing to request, export, or delete from it. For anything related to the website (for example, a future ad-pixel opt-out or a MailerLite unsubscribe link) or to your Lemon Squeezy purchase record, contact us or Lemon Squeezy directly using the links in this policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — most likely when analytics or email signup features described above go live — we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before or at the same time the change takes effect.
